The Association of Fish & Wildlife Agencies applauds last week’s announcement of Secretarial Order 3362 by secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke. This order aims to improve habitat and migration corridors for big game species through collaborative efforts with state and private landowners.
“Secretary Zinke’s order demonstrates his commitment to the health of our nation’s big game species and to working cooperatively with state fish and wildlife agencies, private landowners and the conservation community,” said Virgil Moore, President of the Association of the Fish and Wildlife Agencies and Director of the Idaho Department of Fish and Game. “With the increasing challenges facing big game species, such as antelope, elk, and much deer, it is important to improve these priority habitats across the West. The Association looks forward to helping the Secretary and our state agency members successfully implement Secretarial Order 3362.”
