RENEWED PARTNERSHIP STRENGTHENS FISH AND WILDLIFE CONSERVATION ON MILITARY INSTALLATIONS The Association of Fish & Wildlife Agencies (Association) has renewed its cooperative partnership with the Department of War and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) to strengthen coordination on the conservation and management of fish, wildlife, and their habitats on military installations under the Sikes Act Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

The Association of Fish & Wildlife Agencies (AFWA) and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) recognized two individuals as this year’s winners of the Guy Bradley Award at the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Association in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Trump‘s issuance of Executive Order 14429, “Reinvigorating America’s Hunting Heritage.” This Order directs federal agencies to expand hunting access, strengthen coordination with state fish and wildlife agencies, and support the conservation of game species and their habitats.

Today, ACP, AFWA, and EWAC announced the availability of the first-ever National Utility-Scale Solar Wildlife Guidelines. The guidelines provide voluntary, nationally- focused wildlife guidance for utility-scale, ground-mounted PV solar energy project development. The national guidelines cover PV solar project planning through operations and decommissioning, and provide a framework for identifying, avoiding, and reducing potential impacts on wildlife while supporting responsible solar energy development.
