MAT exists specifically to help state fish and wildlife agencies, and AFWA partners, with the organizational challenges they encounter while managing natural resources. We continuously strive to respond to agency needs by offering relevant leadership development training with focus areas including adaptive leadership, organizational effectiveness, individual effectiveness, relevancy, communications, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, dealing with agency change and more. MAT currently offers these delivery options:
Online Courses
MAT’s 4-6 week online courses provide participants the opportunity to engage in an instructor-led, asynchronous, online learning experience via peer-to-peer discussion boards, assigned readings, and thought provoking assignments. The courses are robust and require about five (5-10) hours of classwork each week.
Webinars - Live and On-Demand
MAT’s live webinars offer a shorter, more condensed, yet effective learning opportunity through an instructor led presentation, group discussions, and Q & A. Live webinars allow for the flexibility and accessibility of online learning with the added elements of synchronous learning and interactivity.
MAT's On-Demand webinars offer the opportunity to learn anywhere, anytime.
Face-to-Face Workshops
MAT’s half day, 1 day, or 2 day face-to-face workshops are perfect for addressing topics that are of interest on an agency level. Workshops are conducted onsite for your organization by MAT staff and/or MAT National Faculty. (Onsite workshops are currently on hold during the pandemic).
Other MAT Products and Services
In addition to offering leadership development training , MAT assists state fish and wildlife agencies in developing their internal leadership development programs and provides a variety of learning tools.
