(1) There is hereby created a division of parks and wildlife in the department of natural resources, also referred to in this article as the “division”. The division is under the jurisdiction of the commission. (2) The division shall exercise its powers and perform its duties and functions specified in this title under the department of natural resources and the executive director thereof as if the same were transferred to the department by a type 1 transfer as defined in the “Administrative Organization Act of 1968”, article 1 of title 24, C.R.S. The division has all the powers, duties, obligations, and functions previously exercised by the division of wildlife or the division of parks and outdoor recreation, as those divisions existed on June 30, 2011.
