Association of Fish & Wildlife Agencies Annual Meeting

As you know, the COVID-19 recovery landscape is changing on a daily basis, and therefore the impact to the Annual Meeting is still unknown.  AFWA leadership is continuing to monitor the situation carefully and we plan to make a decision by June as to whether to hold the 2020 Annual Meeting in Sacramento or pursue other options. We are considering a number of possible scenarios including holding the meeting as planned; combining an in-person venue with a virtual participation option or offering a completely virtual conference. Our decision in June will consider a number of factors related to the Covid-19 situation including how each state is handling out of state travel restrictions, current levels in California of infection and which stage of reopening they expect to be at in September, as well as the possible comfort level of participants attending a meeting.
We continue to plan for the meeting. We hope everyone is well and staying safe. Please contact Cindy Delaney at with any questions or concerns.
