Coordinating cross-cutting conservation issues

The Association of Fish & Wildlife Agencies serves as a point of coordination enabling member agencies and their senior staff to collaborate on a variety of cross-cutting national and international issues ranging from migratory birds, fish habitat, furbearer resources and invasive species to climate change, conservation education, energy development, wildlife action plans and more.

The Association represents state agencies on Capitol Hill and before the Administration on key conservation and management policies to ensure fish and wildlife priorities are addressed and to secure funding through legislation. The Association also provides management, technical assistance and training opportunities to current as well as the next generation of fish and wildlife leaders.
